The Theory Into Practice online courses provide participants with an indepth exploration of foundational theories and methodologies surrounding classroom pedagogy and current research followed by practical application into the participant’s work environment (e.g., classroom, school building).
Theory Into Practice courses are 45 hours each and some are available for academic credit through the
University of Delaware.
The timeline for any online course available in the LoTi Classroom can be adjusted to fit your financial or staff availability guidelines. Courses are listed in hours. Assuming that participants will spend about 4.5 hours per week completing the course content, a 45-hour course typically transpires over ten weeks whereas a 9-hour course typically transpires over two weeks. Each course can be tailored to fit your staff’s needs by either (a) extending the time allotted to complete each block of course content, (b) removing selected blocks of course content from the session, or (c) removing selected blocks of course content from the session and adjusting the time given to complete each block.
All courses in the LoTi Classroom are asynchronous; they do not require all participants to be logged into a course at the same exact time. The intent of the LoTi Classroom is to provide convenient, cost-efficient, high-quality professional development services for participants.
