LoTi Mentor Certification Institute

LoTi Mentor Certification Institute The LoTi Mentor Certification Institute provides mentors and instructional leaders with the skills, strategies, and resources necessary to transform instruction in their school building or district, motivate teachers to practice higher levels of teaching innovation (LoTi), and improve student achievement. Themes in this course include learning theories, LoTi assessment, lesson plan assessment, professional development interventions, integrated instructional units, differentiating instruction, and sustaining organizational change. For each theme identified, participants will engage in activities designed to help them get focused, clarify understanding, explore pertinent resources/strategies, and connect to students. Completion of a culminating task for each of the eight core content blocks will result in certification.

The LoTi Mentor Certification Institute (LMC) is offered either online or as a blended onilne/onsite session. Both types of session include the LoTi Mentor Certification Manual and the timeline for any LMC session can be adjusted according to the needs of your school/district.

  • The Online LMC Session allows for completion of the LoTi Mentor Certification program over 10 weeks in the online LoTi Classroom. All courses in the LoTi Classroom are asynchronous; they do not require all participants to be logged into the course at the same time. The intent of the LoTi Classroom is to provide convenient, cost-efficient, high-quality professional development services for participants on their own time schedule.
  • The Blended Online/Onsite LMC Session begins with a two-day onsite institute and concludes online in the LoTi Classroom as participants complete their LoTi Mentor Ceritifcation tasks at their convenience over the 4 weeks following the onsite institute. Participants are responsible for their own meals, lodging, and transportation during the onsite portion.

This course is available for academic credit through the University of Delaware.
