Differentiating Classroom Instruction

LoTi Mentor Certification Institute The Differentiating Classroom Instruction course explores the critical components of a differentiated classroom. Participants will explore the theory of differentiated instruction starting with a foundation of differentiated instruction and culminating in the creation of a differentiated learning environment in the participant’s own classroom. Themes in this course include differentiation theories, understanding student needs, differentiated instructional strategies, and the differentiated learning environment. For each theme identified, participants will engage in activities designed to help them get focused, clarify understanding, explore pertinent resources/strategies, and connect to students. The culminating activity for this course is the creation and implementation of a differentiated instructional unit in the classroom.
The timeline for any online course available in the LoTi Classroom can be adjusted according to the needs at your school/district.

All courses in the LoTi Classroom are asynchronous; they do not require all participants to be logged into the course at the same time. The intent of the LoTi Classroom is to provide convenient, cost-efficient, high-quality professional development services for participants on their own time schedule.
This course is available for academic credit through the University of Delaware.
