Delivering online staff development is not new in educational circles. Past efforts have ranged from self-paced tutorial programs to sophisticated synchronous and asynchronous courses using different content management systems such as Moodle, Blackboard, and Web CT. Give the varying online experience of classroom teachers, how do you design online content that provides a positive and enriching experience for teachers while achieving the target goals of the course (e.g., differentiated instruction, collaborative learning environments, questioning strategies)?
