From time to time, the LoTi team seeks outside consultants to provide additional staffing or additional expertise to support specific projects. Consultants are hired on the basis of a specific project and are therefore responsible for their own taxes and other employment expenses. A strong eye for detail, strong proofreading and editing schools as well as experience in writing for the online environment is needed for this position. This person must be able to correct grammatical mistakes, recognize differences in wording styles from one activity to another as well as be able to correct the formatting of color size and font from one online activity to another. Compensation begins at $20.00 per hour and may be increased based on experience. Working from home is expected and the consultant must provide their own computer and Internet connection.
Understanding and experience in designing online courses using different tools (e.g., HTML, Moodle, Video Conversion etc.), teaching, or training background is recommended for this position. Compensation based on experience. Understanding of project management and ability to work directly with clients to meet deadlines required. Understanding and experience in developing curriculum support materials (e.g., lesson plans, benchmark assessments, intervention packets) for elementary reading and a teaching background are recommended for this position. Lesson Plan Reviewer
A thorough understanding of Bloom's Taxonomy and the LoTi Framework are recommended for this position. Prior experience in a classroom is preferred, but not required. LoTi's pool of Lesson Plan Reviewers randomly evaluate lessons from school districts around the nation to assign appropriate LoTi and Bloom's levels. Compensation is $5 per lesson reviewed. Working from home is expected and the consultant must provide their own computer and Internet connection.
