LoTi Implementation Model - Implement

LoTi Implementation CycleFour stages guide the implementation of the LoTi Project: (1) Assess, (2) Plan, (3) Implement, and (4) Sustain.
Stage 3: Implement
The Implement stage involves conducting a series of targeted professional development interventions including LoTi Mentor Certification Institutes, LoTi Administrator Institutes, 21st Century Makeover Institutes, LoTi Orientation sessions, online LoTi Classroom Teacher courses, and/or LoTi Project Schools to raise the level of teacher performance and administrator expectations involving the use of learning technologies in the classroom. These targeted LoTi interventions focus on both the theory behind and the practical application of topics such as research-best practices using technology, complex thinking skills in the “few” computer classroom, designing "Target Technology” integration units aligned to state content standards, creating effective collaborative learning environments, and differentiated instruction using technology. The by-product of these interventions is improved student achievement, powerful teaching practices, effective and efficient uses of technology, and ongoing and differentiated professional development for staff. This stage is targeted at increasing the emphasis on LoTi as "Levels of Teaching Innovation" as opposed to exclusively "Levels of Technology Implementation."
