
LoTi Implementation Model - Assess

The Assess stage involves assessing the current state of your school building or district. All credentialed staff members (i.e., building administrators, classroom teachers, resource teachers, media specialists) typically complete the online LoTi Digital-Age Survey on an annual basisto (1) approximate the Level of Technology Implementation (LoTi), Personal Computer Use (PCU), and Current Instructional Practices (CIP) and (2) create an individualized professional development profile called the LoTi Digital-Age Professional Development Profile for each participant. This stage provides the impetus (1) to improve each campus' ability to identify trends in professional development needs by classroom teachers (e.g., complex student projects, student-centered instruction) and (2) to increase teachers' level of technology implementation (LoTi) toward the "target" technology level as established by the CEO Forum on Education and Technology and ISTE's NETS for Teachers and TSSA.
